I am Gina Madskull a tattoo artist and the owner of Mad Mansion Tattoo. I was born and raised in Zurich, where i developed the love for tattooing.
I started tattooing in 2015. It was my father, who inspired me to tattoo at the age of 17. He persuaded me, when i was a child, to follow my dreams and find a way to express my creativity by drawing which later led me to tattooing.
When I started tattooing, I accepted the challenge to create eternal art. Since then i never stoped developing, perfecting, and discovering myself. Every tattoo piece is a work of art. It must be unique, and express my essence, and character.
In my tattoo career I was in four diffrent studios until in April 2024 i made my dream come true and opend my own shop, in the heart of Zurich, the Mad Mansion Tattoo Studio.
I found my passion in following styles; Dotwork, Blackwork, Geometry, and Ornamental.
I was born in the very north of Germany and living in Zurich for 18 years now. I was always a bit confused about what I wanted to do in life. Just one thing was clear: I loved to draw and to create.
I wanted to be a Concept Artist, creating otherworldly creatures and characters, wanted to be an author, a scientific Illustrator, an Art Historian. I happened to study Visual Communication, worked as a Graphic Designer and freelance Illustrator – which didn’t make me happy.
Thanks to all the supportive people around me I started tattooing in 2021 – something that I often imagined but never thought could be reality. Now I am creating worlds and emotions in ink and on skin. Or sometimes just stupid cats.
